With the expansion of telecommunications networks, countries have been networked, cities to some extent have been networked, offices to a lesser extent have been networked. Now there is a move towards having individual houses networked. This can be from being able to manipulate electronic devices inside the house from a remote location to linking all such devices together, and creating new devices that this technology makes possible. This report discussed the progress of these developments.
