Synopsis

This report provides revenue, revenue growth statistics and analysis for the telecommunications market between 2000 and 2011 by major telecommunications providers, as well as BuddeComm market forecasts for 2012 and 2013.

The total telecoms service market is segmented according to major providers (Telstra, Optus, VHA and being the major providers). Detailed revenue and forecasting statistics and analyses are also included separately for Telstra, Optus and VHA.

Meanwhile Telstra still dominates the overall Australian telecom market althought just under 60% market share of overall revenues in 2011, well down from the 80% market share it held in the early 2000s. Telstra’s annual results for 2011 showed declining revenue in most segments and this is expected to fall further during 2011 and again into 2012.
