Synopsis

The telecoms services market will pass the $30 billion mark in 2004, growing by 5.1% into 2005. Optus is the clear winner in market growth with the 2nd tier players having only a minor impact. However, while their revenues are growing, their margins are being squeezed. ISPs have been the most successful but, due to broadband demand, their margins are also now under pressure. This will result in a major market shake-out during 2005.
