Australia - FttH Operators and Retailers

Synopsis

Australia saw a dramatic rise in the number of FttH operators throughout 2007, and this is continuing into 2008. The deployment of FttH in greenfield estates is a dramatically growing industry; but while the design of a fibre solution can be seen as a rather simple task, having it designed correctly and then operated effectively and with long term success is quite a different matter. Currently in Australia and New Zealand there are fifteen different FttH operators with various levels of experience and capability. This report provides a detailed overview of these operators, as well as a detailed overview of FttH pricing and an interesting case study of a retirement village.
