Synopsis
On the one hand, I don’t expect that telecommunications will make or break the 2004 Federal Election, but, on the other, telecoms is an ideal vote-grabbing device. The Democrats are the first to come up with a set of solid, cutting-edge telecoms policies – policies that show vision. Labor has already gone down the vote-grabbing trail and the government is sticking (at least so far) to its single telecoms policy – the privatisation of Telstra. The report also includes the wish list of the industry’s leading lobby group, ATUG. This free report will be progressively updated during the campaign.
