Synopsis

Paul Budde analyses the Australian B2B market, noting developments so far, and the strategies for future success. This analysis also covers the overview and statistical data in the Australia – E-commerce – B2B Overview and Statistics. Results from an Allens Consulting Group survey are also included. An overview of major B2B projects is given in this report, along with a profile of the e-procurement market. The general e-procurement sector is considered, as well as the small business component of the sector. Barriers to SME take-up of e-commerce are also considered. In October 2002, IDC Australia released research on spending on Internet-based projects.
