Research Classification
Understanding how our reports are classified can assist you to more specifically target the type of research you are seeking.
All of our research has been categorised using 3 classes of attribute:
- Location – Identifies whether a report covers a specific country, a region or whether it provides a global view;
- Topic/Technology – Identifies what topics and technologies a report covers, a reports’ topics and technologies are listed in the report profile displayed on the right hand side of a reports details page;
- Report Type – each report will generally be an Annual Publication or a Focus Report. Annual publications are compiled from relevant Focus Reports to provide full coverage of our research on the country, region and/or topic.
Important sub-types of report types include Country Profiles, Company Profiles, Regional Overviews and Global Overviews. This classification assists orderly and consistent display of research on our site to assist browsing and report selection.
Searching
The Quick Search box is presented on the majority of site pages and provides a convenient method to search for relevant content. It will search research titles, published summaries and the table of contents.
Advanced Report Search is accessible from the advanced search link under the Quick Search box, the advanced search will allow the specification of other parameters to refine your search.
Searching for historic or archived information ? If you are looking for historic information click the ‘Search archived research’ link displayed at the top of your results page to display all relevant results from our extensive archives.
Browsing
The View Reports by: section on the left hand side of the majority of site pages allows you quickly target the research you are looking for.
The links to Regional, Country and Global research will each allow you to then select region, country or topic to provide you a more specific list of research reports that may suit your requirements.
The Custom Research link provides an overview to our approach to custom made research reports, with a number of examples of past reports produced. The modular nature of our research means we can create reports containing the research you need.
Click on any report title to view more details for the report including a summary, table of contents, pricing and report update information.
By default all browsing will result in only current research reports being displayed containing the latest data we have available. If however, you are looking for historic information, click on the ‘View archived research’ link displayed at the top of all report list pages to see any appropriate archive reports we may have.
Purchasing
All our research reports are available for sale online and can be downloaded or emailed upon successful payment processing, allowing immediate access to the research you need.
We accept Amex, Diners, Mastercard and Visa through our secure online purchasing system, supplied via SecurePay and Westpac, Australian leaders in secure online sales and utilising 128 bit SSL technology.
The vast majority of products on our site are listed for sale in US$, however as we are an Australian based company all prices will be converted to AU$ for submission to the payments system. We adjust the conversion rate daily and the conversion rate will be listed on the final confirmation page before submitting your payment.
All purchases by non-Australian based clients are free of GST (Australian Goods and Services Tax).
We do also accept offline orders and can accept payment by funds transfer, cheque and if specifically arranged PayPal. Research for offline orders however will be delivered upon receipt of payment or verified submission of funds transfer payment. Shopping Cart and Checkout
To purchase any products from our site they need to be added to your shopping cart, which is displayed on the right hand side of most pages on our site.
To add a report to your cart you need to be viewing the details page for the report which will list the reports summary, table of contents and display the ‘Report Profile’ on the right hand side. In the report profile there is a licence selector that allows you to choose the appropriate licence for your requirements, select the licence you require and the price for that licence will display. Then press the Add to Cart button and this report will be added to your cart.
Once you have the required items in your cart you can then proceed to the checkout by pressing the Checkout button. You can choose the your purchasing method to complete your purchase.
If you are registering to attend a conference through the Events section on our site, your registration fee will be automatically added to your cart during the registration process and you will then automatically be taken to the checkout in order to complete your purchase.
QuickBuy
Our QuickBuy option provides an immediate purchase facility without becoming a member of our site – secure, no delays, immediate download of reports.
When you select the QuickBuy option you will be required to enter your personal and credit card details in order to proceed. The Subscriber Name entered on this form will be included as the licensed user of the report(s) in the licence agreement included on your paid receipt.
Once your details have been entered click the Continue button and you will be presented with a final confirmation page which displays all of the purchase details. If you are a non-Australian client you must tick a checkbox to confirm this to avoid being charged GST.
Once you are happy that all details are correct, click the checkbox to 'Accept BuddeComm's Terms and Conditions’ and click the Confirm Order button.
Your order is then submitted for payment processing which may take a few moments to process, please do not press anything in this browser window while this is processing.
Once the payment has been successfully processed your paid tax invoice (receipt) will be automatically emailed to you and a confirmation page presented.
If you did not receive an email with your paid tax invoice attached you can choose to display this by pressing the View Invoice button on the confirmation page.
Your report(s) will not be emailed to you automatically, to receive your reports you must choose one of the options on the confirmation page, to either email the reports to you or to download the reports to your computer.
Members
Our memberships offer benefits to regular users, such as providing:

If you are a member we recommend signing in before browsing or searching for the research you wish to purchase as when signed in you will be shown the correct price including discounts and GST if applicable to you and your membership.
You will also be able to request an Update Notification about a report you are interested in but have not yet purchased. When this report is updated you will receive the update notification via email, allowing you to then return to the site to purchase the updated version if you wish. To do this just click the Add to My Update Notifications.
Once you have added any reports you wish to purchase to your cart, press the Checkout button to continue.
If you are not yet logged in you will be presented with a screen to log in, then the shopping cart will be displayed for you to make any adjustments, if you are happy with your selections click Continue and the final confirmation page will appear showing final pricing including GST if applicable.
Check the box to accept BuddeComm’s terms and conditions and click the Confirm Order button. Your purchase will be processed to your credit card or deducted from your prepaid credit as applicable. If successful you will be taken to the Members’ Download Area to download your reports and the invoice will be emailed to you.

Downloading Problems
Third Party Download managers do not generally work on this site. This is generally because they attempt to download the file in multiple download sessions, but our site restricts this approach. Please do not use a 3rd party download manager when downloading purchased reports from our site.
Most Thrid Party Download Managers will provide some option to bypass the Download Manager and to just use your browsers standard download manager.

BuddeComm and iOS
We have successfully tested our site's browsing, search and purchasing processes using Apple iPads running iOS 4.2.1 and 5.0, with the only additional requirement being the installation of an App which can access ZIP files as report downloads from our site will be zipped.
The App we installed to access the ZIP file was Filer Lite which is free on the Apple App Store, a non-restricted version of this app is also available. There are many other apps available which can do the same job such as Google Reader, etc.
The purchasing, downloading and file opening processes were seamless as Apple users have come to expect.
