Africa - Peter Lange
Peter has over 20 years of experience in various sectors of the telecoms industry worldwide, working with network operators and service providers, technology vendors, start-up companies, governments, NGOs, industry regulators, law firms and financial institutions. Equipped with a degree in telecommunications engineering from his native Germany, he has been involved with the planning and implementation of telecommunications networks on all six continents before broadening his scope to include strategic planning and business modeling, market research, analysis and forecasting. Having worked in various African countries since the mid-1990s, Peter has taken responsibility for our Africa portfolio since joining us in 2004.
Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific - Stephen McNamara
Stephen has a Business Management degree specialising in Information Systems. Prior to joining BuddeComm he had many roles in business and operations management, among which was specialist work in the CTI integration of a virtual 24x7 call centre. Stephen joined BuddeComm in 2006 to provide report editing and compilation services. His role has expanded to include that of Researcher for South Pacific reports and assisting Paul Budde with Australian and New Zealand research.
Central, South and South East Asia - Peter Evans
After more than thirty years of corporate and international experience in telecommunications, including as an executive manager with Telstra, Peter is now applying his extensive background to carrying out research work for BuddeComm. Peter joined us in 1998 and is responsible for the Central, South and South East Asian markets. Peter has established his own office in Laos and spends a significant amount of time in the region.
Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific - Paul Budde
I formed this company back in 1978. I have a marketing degree from the Institute of Marketing in the Netherlands, my focus is business strategies and government policies. As a special consultant to the ITU/UNESCO Broadband Commission for Digital Development, I am heavily involved in international developments such as FttH, mobile broadband, trans-sector use of infrastructure and the digital economy. I write most of the international analyses and also, of course, closely follow the markets in Australia and New Zealand.
Europe West - Henry Lancaster
Henry arrived from the UK in 2002. His research background includes nine years as a university lecturer, followed by freelance work in a range of fields. He jointly set up a software company in 1998, providing CRM solutions to customers worldwide. Henry joined our research team in 2005 and is responsible for the European countries.
Global Market - Kylie Wansink
Kylie gained a degree in Information Management and began her career in the management consulting sector. She now has around fifteen years experience as a business researcher/analyst and has specialised in the telecommunications and technology sector for around ten years. Kylie has been responsible for our extensive range of global market reports since joining us in 2006 and has published a number of articles on global trends in independent publications.
Latin America - Lucia Bibolini
Lucia currently lives in London, having moved there in 2003 from her former place of residence on the Central Coast, north of Sydney. Prior to joining the BuddeComm team, she worked as freelance simultaneous conference interpreter, primarily for the UN, and also taught yoga for a number of years. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian. Besides her telecom research work, she also writes and illustrates fantasy stories. Lucia has worked for BuddeComm since 2000 and has been responsible for our Latin American reports since 2003.
Europe East - Paul Kwon
Paul is completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Telecommunications) / Bachelor of Business at UTS. During the course of his studies, he spent six months in South Korea, working full time at the Electronic and Telecommunications Research Institute where he conducted extensive research on the global Telecommunications and Information Technology industries. Paul is responsible for our reports on the Middle East.
North America, Mexico, Caribbean and Central America - Lawrence Baker
Lawrence practiced for over ten years as an economist and lawyer, specialising in competition law and regulated industries, including the telecommunications sector. Before joining BuddeComm he was a Senior Associate with one of Australia's largest law firms, Freehills, prior to which he worked in London as a lawyer and economist. He has degrees in Economics and Law and a Masters of Law in international and competition law. At BuddeComm Lawrence is responsible for our North America, Mexico, Caribbean and Central America reports.
