South Korea took in the late 1990s leadership in broadband, it has one of the most advanced fibre infrastructures. It is now starting to use this for a range of digital developments. Under the new Presidential Commission of e-government the country has embarked on new campaign and wants to become the leader in areas such as e-health, e-education, smart grids and so on.
